The Finished objects. :D

A quick post to show you my finished knitted pieces. :D

First up, Nad’s sweater! (Jumper, whatever)

Name of project: Nad’s drops sweater

Yarn: Cascade Sierra (80% Pima Cotton, 20% Wool)

Needles: Knit picks 3mm and 4mm

Cast on date: Did not record

Cast off date: 27 June 2009

Learned: Knitting 2 sleeves at once, in the round on 2 circular needles.

Modifications: Didn’t do the roll collar. But Nad has requested for a higher collar so will unpick and continue from the current length.

Mistakes: Not that I know of! :D

The front and back of this sweater’s neckline is of almost the same height. I plan to stitch a simple cloth tag on the back so it’s easy for him to differentiate back to front.

This sweater (jumper, bleah) was actually meant for his birthday last year but he only received the FRONT of it. *Shame*

Then it hibernated for a loooong time and I felt more and more guilty. So I decided to dig it up and continued with it.
The sleeves were knitted at the same time in the round and since it’s my first time using 2 circulars for this purpose, it was pretty confusing at first and my mum was laughing at me. Look who’s laughing now huh? :D

If I were to knit this again (I won’t. I said IF. I won’t go through this torture experience again!), I’d probably do the cables on the sleeves too. And Nad wanted a V-neck opening. Well. Too late. I still love you though, Nad.

Sooooo,

The beanie for Bendi is ready!

Name of project: The Jolene Hat

Yarn: Malabrigo Merino Worsted (Go to http://www.yarnandkisses.com for all your Malabrigo needs! :D )

Needles: Knit picks 5.5mm

Cast on date: 24 June 2008

Cast off date: 29 June 2009

Learned: Nothing.

Modifications: None

Mistakes: I happily knitted the lace pattern and found out that I had 1 repeat too many. Had to frog back those 4 rows. It’s okay.. it’s over… it’s just lost knitting time, that’s all…

Here’s the top of the beanie. Hahaha.
My head will be warm at Bendi! And in Tassy!

Have to go now. Blog soon.

    AHH pressed ‘enter’ by accident.

I like the colour of the beanie.
The stitch decreasing must be grueling… I like it only during the first few decrease rows. When it reaches the top it’s FRUSTRATING!
