Should I knit for Bendi?

Uh… it’s less than a month to the Bendigo Wool and Sheep show where I will be (finally) meeting awesome people like Debra (Bribroday) and Alison (Wooliewombat) and Tara (Fiestywench). – Rav names given in brackets so you can stalk them on Ravelry.

I’m thinking of knitting this hat in Malabrigo Worsted and this pair of mittens in the same colour (Blue surf!) for myself.

(What do you mean you can’t access to those links? Those are Ravelry links and if you don’t have a Ravelry account you totally should. Sign ups are immediate now. No more waiting periods so go on over and join! Unless, of course, you don’t knit/crochet or think that knitting is for grannies – tut tut. )

I was wondering if I should cast on A Cardigan For Arwen too in Malabrigo Worsted (Polar Morn!)?

Will that be an overkill for me?

Maybe, if I eliminate:
1. sleep

2. housework

3. eating

4. shitting

5. the kids

from my life, I could nail all 3 items before Bendi. Whaddaya think? Huh? huH? Opinions pllleeeaaasseeee!

    Opinion if you eliminate:
    1. Sleep – you’ll be a zombie at the end of everything
    2. Housework – learn to twitch your nose like Samantha in
    “Bewitched”
    3. Eating – there will be skeletons in your closet
    4. Shitting – you’ll be constipating like HELL and will weigh bottom
heavy – shaped like a pear! (will love to see you in this shape)
    5. The kids – stuff them back into your #$*(@.

    Hahahaha…..

Wait… We have to knit before Bendi? I was getting all excited about meeting people but I didn’t think about that side of it. I don’t have enough good-looking handknits, and I have a swap due before then. Oh no.

AND I probably need to make sure the kids have great hand-knits, too. I am pretty sure they have grown out of the last things I knit them, and this winters offerings are still on the needles.

I wish I had a jumper obsession rather than a sock obsession. I will be the one pulling up my jeans all the time to prove I am a knitter, wearing a machine knit cardy from the op shop. And my kids will be the ones with non-matching clothes (apparently they choose their own, now).

Yeah! We knit for Bendi to show that we are, actually, knitters! Lol.
There’s also a prize for the best knitwear at the breakfast before the show on Saturday but I’m not knitting for that. :D
