Uh… I fell off again…
Sorwie… Life is resembling a whirlwind at the moment. Everyday is all about getting through today and before you know it, 24 hours are up. Where did all the time go?!?!?!?
Some days I can’t even find time to poop. So I treasure the stolen moments when both babies are napping and I can sew or knit.
I also discovered that I have an amazing (well, at least to me it is amazing) ability to breastfeed and knit at the same time. Depending on which side Chubbs is suckling on, that arm would be super tired, as if I had been lifting weights because it has to hold his head in place as well as hold the knitting while the other hand does the knitting movements.
I guess I will be able to develop some muscles (biceps? Don’t know which muscle is that!) without going to the gym! Woohoo!
Other than feeling really tired (understatement), I’m okay. If anyone wants to be a free nanny for a day, please send in your resume.
So I have quite a few photos especially of FOs to show you! I better hurry while Sunshine is amused by some toy and Chubbs is quiet in his cot.

Name of project: Peace Chubbs
Yarn: Wired for Fibre/Live 2 Knit Marilyn in Kismet and Serenity
Needles: Knitpicks 4mm
Cast on date: 21 January 2009
Cast off date: 27 April 2009
Learned: Knitting a hem closed and crocheting a motif on a knitted garment.
Modifications: I think I lengthened it a little but it’s still TOO SHORT!!!!!! >:-(
Mistakes: None that I know of.
I actually finished the main piece many months back. I only took about 1 month or 2 to knit this I think… but I procrastinated with the i-cord collar and the dove motif until now. It’s still a little too big for Chubbs since it’s a 3 month size. I wish I knew how short the pattern is…. I would have knitted it much longer.

The wool is really soft and not scratchy. Love it!

Not loving this knit so much. Don’t like the way it felted…. I may felt it even more at a later date.
It’s too loose!

Sorry about the blurry photo – this was taken with my mobile camera before Nikon-san came back.
I was trying to use up my stash, therefore doubling the yarn. I still have one and a half balls of this left. -___-
Ok, that’s all for my knitted projects. I am currently working on Blue Steps, booties for ASSORTED friends’ BABIES. Uh huh.. SO MANY of my friends are having babies! I can’t believe it! I have two friends expecting twins too! I guess I’m at that age when most peers are getting married and procreating.
I know I promised not to knit for others for now.. but who can resist these cute liddle booties!?!?! I wanna make many pairs of them! They are so quick to knit up too!
I’m also working on Nad’s sweater. I’m left with only the sleeves to go and I’m doing both of them at once on 2 circular needles.
Now to show you what I got from lovely Sasha.

A cute little beanie for Chubbs! Which is still a lil big at the moment but I’m sure he’ll grow into it in no time.
The beanie is made with Malabrigo Organic Cotton which feels sooooo soft! I was actually surprised at how soft and light it feels.

I also received a very cute pair of knitted socks from Loopylouey (Lois) for Chubbs but I have not been able to get a good shot of it being worn. Mainly because he’s always kicking!
So this blur shot would have to do for now:

Sorry, Lois. I will try to get a better shot… maybe when he’s asleep… but if he’s asleep, I won’t be able to unwrap his swaddle to take a pic of his socks without waking him! Hmmmmmmmm…. Suggestions? Lol.
Then Debra also sent us a HUGE blue Carebear! Which Sunshine has been playing with, lying on it and hugging it. Pics of that later!
My God-sis also gave us a huge basket of baby items including bath gels and organic laundry powder and the best Wondersuits. These are all-in-one suits that dress the baby from neck down with ‘built-in’ mittens! Chubbs wears these suits all the time now as it keeps him warm.
Thank you all so much for the gifts! Am very touched by your kind gestures.
Last but not least, we bought Sunshine a table and chair set a few months ago from Ikea.
We thought that it would be good for her to have a mini workstation. However, she still prefers to sit on our laps. Sigh.

She can look out into the backyard from her workstation.

Hehe. That’s all folks!!!!!!!! Hope I get to blog again soon!
Here’s one more artistic (wannabe) photograph of Chubbs~
