I came out of the shower just a few moments ago stark naked and asked Nad to smell my right arm, and then my left arm.
“They smell the same…”
“NO!!!!!! I used Lemon soap scent on my right and Honey Oatmeal on my left!!!!!”
Hahahhaa. I even used the line going down my pregnant belly (this line is called the Linea Nigra… go google it if you are interested… most pregnant women have this line down their belly) as the center ‘guide’!
And I blame this on Gabbie from TheSoapDish.
I’m hooked on her handmade soap and I’m hooked on showering.
Just as well – I will not be able to shower or bathe for one month after Chubbs is born. I observe the Chinese tradition of not showering/bathing for a month after childbirth as we believe that we have to keep ourselves warm and not to allow ‘wind’ to enter our bodies. (Uh, I can’t be bothered with the scientific proof etc etc… I’m doing this because if I ever get arthritis or other pains and sores in my 30s, I know I don’t have myself to blame for not taking proper care after childbirth. Better safe than sorry, I think.)
I do keep myself clean of course by cleaning myself every day with a damp towel and soap. So I will be able to use Gabbie’s soap afterall. (And don’t worry, I am allowed to wash my tata everyday. We are not senseless, dirty creatures!)
Hmm.. maybe tomorrow I can try showering with half Honey Oatmeal (I just LOVE Honey Oatmeal) and half Lime? HmmMMmm.. decisions decisions…..
