May

Last year, 10 May, while driving home, our car got smashed from the back. See here.

This year, 12 May, while driving to pick me up to go home, our car got smashed from the back AGAIN.

It wasn’t so bad this time round. Only the back light on the right side was damaged. I will try to take some pictures tomorrow and post it up here.

The bumper was also damaged.

Nad was waiting at a circle for his turn to go and a minute later, this other idiot driver must have been going too fast to stop in time. He must have swerved his van to the right and therefore only damaged our right lights. Otherwise I think the impact on the back might have been worse.

Sunshine was seated at the back in her baby seat. She slept through the drama. I really really really thank God for taking care of us, especially of Sunshine.

That’s two Mays in a row that we’ve had something happen to our cars. I hope this ends this year. No more. For goodness sake, DRIVE PROPERLY AND STOP BASHING INTO US!

This is going to inconvenience us so much. We’d probably have to leave the car with the panel beaters to fix on a new bumper ( BUhahahaha.. finally that other dent in the left side which I put in by backing into a ute can be replaced!!!) and will probably have to commute for a few days. Grrrrrrr.

DRIVE RESPONSIBLY AND SAFELY! Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes thank God that you are all OK!! You’ll have to insist that you get a loan car. It is after all not your fault!!

  2. San Says:

Thank God everyone is safe. Hope this is the last of people bumping onto you guys. Take care and stay safe.

thank goodness you guys are fine. good thing rachel was in a car seat.

i was in an accident about two months back too. the baby was in a pouch i was wearing (think: kangeroo), and lagi better, i was sitting in front with no seat belt on yet. we were settling in when we went to langa somebody at the carpark. it was a good thing both vehicles were moving reasonably slowly, and nobody was hurt. the baby slept throughout the whole commotion too. i’ve learnt to sit at the back with seat belts on after that, and the baby has to go into the car seat too.

Lois: Yes, the insurance is going to cover everything. The guy that banged into us is trying to be funny- says he doesn’t remember his car plate number! We have to check with RAC if they would cover us for a loan car or not.

San: Yeah I hope this is the LAST TIME… grrr.. so irritating!

Roanne: Goodness, so dangerous! Did your car need repairs? Yes, it’s compulsory for infants and kids (up to 8 or 10 years old I think) in Australia to be in an approved childseat. Otherwise we face a fine.
