I just did something last night that may be the first and the last time I attempt to do something so bold in the History Of Knitting.
Look what I attempted:

Me, with a grand total of less-than-4-months worth of knitting experience, decided to start knitting socks. (That’s right you non-knitters… socks knit on 4 to 5 needles.)
But not just any sock.
I did a sock with sized 2mm double points. That’s size Zilch for you US-Aians….(And if you really must know, that’s size 14 for those in the UK).

I almost jabbed my eyes (4 x 55 times) with these awkward needles jutting out all over the place, dropped stitches (a thousand times), frogged it because of dropped stitches/ stitches flying off the needles (a thousand and one times), spliced the yarn (in a million places), held the tension so tightly that my finger gangrened and dropped off I might as well tie it to an elephant and make him pull the tension for me.
But I persevered. And I did it. Okay, technically, it’s not completed. But I’ll get there…
I started with my own pattern, modified from a baby sock. I expected the Guiness Book Of World Records to call me anytime then. But I realised after going online to search for more sock tips, I realised I wasn’t the only one who knitted or thought of knitting tiny socks. -____-
Pfffftt. So what, you peeps. Who can say that they attempted a tiny sock at their first try, huh?
Okay I really must get to work. I hope to finish with the tiny sockie tonight!
That’s if I do not jab my eyes out with those evil looking skewers needles.

You are such an inspiration!
I am going to give a try to socks knitting once I finish my shawl. Halfway now. I have been watching the knitting videos on you tube. Good Luck with your beautiful teeny weeny socks.

Hi Inori,
I have been reading your blog for a while now. I know that you are in Australia and is also a responsible pet owner. I would like to seek your help to find a dog that was stolen more than 4 years ago. His mum still misses him a lot and has never given up on the search all this while. you can read more about him from his website : http://www.findingbeau.com/.
We are having a mission to spread the words about Beau to as many people as we can. We hope to be able to find him soon. If you can help, please post a story about Beau on your blog and also print some of Beau’s posters and put them up. You can get the posters from here: http://www.dogswithblogs.com.au/stormysorders.htm .
Please help. You might just be the one who can help Beau to be reunited with his mum who loves him dearly. Thank you in advance.
Luv,
Snowball
