It’s been a Year…

Happy Anniversary To My Darling Nad.

It’s been a great year being your wife and I always thank God for you. I’m very grateful for the care you provide for me, the dogs, the cat and most recently, Sunshine. You’re a great husband and a great dad. I pray that we will have many many more anniversaries to come. We love you tonnes!

Tomorrow, I turn 24 years old. Last birthday, I became a wife. This birthday, I became a mother. I wonder what’s in store for me next year! Hahaha. Maybe I’d be baptised.

I’ve had a great year. It started with my wedding and ended with a beautiful daughter. We moved to set up our tiny home with our pets, I got a job that I love, have great and funny colleagues who tease me all the time, I grew even closer to God as He showed us SO MANY miracles in just a short time, had a wonderful pregnancy experience – I scraped through without throwing any temper tantrums! Although I did wish to disown my back because of the unbearable backache – ,picked up a new and addictive hobby, discovered Lulu’s talents in taking care of babies ……….

Sigh… so many things crammed into a short short year.

I survived because of one person. God.

Thank you God.

Thank you for all that You have given me.

Thank you for blessing me and my family.

Hot and Humid

I’m in Singapore to visit my family and friends with Sunshine.

My kind sister Lulu has been our maid, following us around and carrying stuff for us like a camel. I love her to death.

And she also got mistaken many times as my maid. No kidding.

I do not like crowded places (i.e: just about everywhere) and the people who love to push their way through crowds, to enter malls, to board trains/ buses etc (i.e: just about every person). So basically, as long as I stay at my mom’s home, I’m happy.

But I still needed to satisfy my hunger for yarn.

I bought a full set of Addi Turbo Knitting Needles. I don’t know what came over me…. but it’s a very good buy because it is really really cheap!

Almost $10 less than what I would have paid if I bought them from home.

And those people at Ondori (that’s the name of the company) are such nice people. Sadly, they only sell yarn in bulk and I didn’t have the cash with me, nor the guts to buy so many balls at one go. (Nad has eyes following me around. It’s called My Conscience.) The boss even gave us a lift to another mall to buy yarn.

I love Ondori.

I also went to Kinokuniya to check out the Japanese knitting books.

Wakarimasen deshita. :(

I don’t understand their instructions and their patterns are a tad different from the UK/ US ones that I’m so used to. Although I do understand a little Japanese, this was too complicated for me. So I did not spend money on those magazines.

I bought more UK and German knitting magazines instead.

We also went to Spotlight to buy cheap bamboo/cotton yarn. I bought a few balls of sock yarn from Tanglin Mall too. (Am going home to dye the white ones.)

I miss home. I miss Nad. I miss the doggies and the silly cat. I would miss Lulu and my mom alot… I wish I can ship them over.

I’m sleepy.

That’s why this post sounds spastic.

Going off to get used to my new Addi Turbos. They’re a little too slippery for me now. Maybe I just need to practise my knitting even more.

The New Pup

Hahahaha… I can’t believe I tricked so many people.
He’s actually Benji, shaven down.

Preparing for the summer. And also because, due to a little neglect (*blush blush*… HEY I HAVE A BABY OKAY!) his fur was a tad matted. Just a tad. Really!

He’s always been happy being shaven.
This is the picture taken before the shave. :D

He’s not a pup anymore. He is going to be 5 years old at the end of this year. But he still behaves like a 5 month old pup. :P

A New Pup

Dear all, we bought a new puppy about a couple of weeks back.

He’s a collie.

Wondering what to name him. Any suggestions? :)
