Lulu’s bag

I made a sling bag for Lulu. I knitted it like a mad woman because I wanted her to have it when I went to Singapore to visit. So the night before I left, instead of packing, I was crazily knitting away.

She wanted a pink sling bag.

Pattern was my own.

My mom lined it instead of me. Partly because I didn’t have time left to do so and also because I’m very lazy. Mostly the latter though.

I got the buttons from Spotlight. Suits the color of the bag, I think.

I made the tiny piggy as a surprise for Lulu. Pattern from here.

She liked them both very much. :)

Name of project: Lulu Pink Sling Bag – My own pattern!

Yarn: Panda Zoomy Shade 37 (Pink)

Needles: Inox Circulars 5mm

Cast on date: 16 Nov ‘07

Cast off date: 07 Dec ‘07 (The very night before I flew off! – I only took so long because I started on my Berry Stitch Bag and worked it concurrently.)

Learned: Nothing new

Mistakes: None, since I pretty much made it up as I knitted along.

Name of project: Lil Piggy!

Yarn: Holiday 8-ply (Feltable)

Needles: 5.5mm (I cannot remember which one I used.)

Cast on date: Forgot!

Cast off date: Forgot! I finished it in a day though.

Learned: This was my first time felting a project. Felt good! (Pun intended.)

Mistakes: None.

Modifications: Made changes to the eyes.

Okay… Mood Better

It only takes a few hours to cool me down. Heheh.

My back still hurts, though.

And Sunshine woke from her millinanosecond nap to cry once again. She hasn’t pooped today. Think the toxins are making her cry.

My 2nd nephew was born yesterday in the afternoon, barely 5 minutes after they rushed to the hospital! He’s 2.75kg and a healthy bouncing baby!

Can’t wait to see pictures of him.

I hope my subsequent labors could be as short too.

Bad Mood

I spend the last few hours of 2007 in a bleedy bad mood.

Threw out my back carrying a bucket of water to wash the dogs’ room.

Sunshine cried for God-knows-how-long when I did the cleaning and bathing of the animals.

And she refused to sleep so the contents of the dogs’ room are still strewn all over the passageway in my house.

Have you ever thought that you are not the only one who is tired?Â

Sometimes I just wish I can dump everything here and go to the end of the world to sit and knit. Alone. By myself. Without all of you.

I know I’m just ranting angrily. It may be a sign of PMS. I do know I should count my blessings. Hey, how often do I get angry?

I reconsider having more kids.

I can’t seem to do anything else.

I’m so angry now that my insides are just reaching boiling point.

I can’t even carry Sunshine much now, can’t put her down in the cot/ stroller without muttering curse words under my breath.

I probably deserve the backache ‘coz I didn’t carry the bucket of water the correct way anyway.

So whatsofuckingever.

There, I cursed.

Happy?

Summary Of 2007

Only 2 days more till 2008 comes. I’m suffering from quite a bad case of fatigue – very very tired even though I sleep early and wake early. I have no idea why this is happening. I’m very tired right now but Sunshine won’t let me take a nap. :(

Edited to add those in blue text! :D Â

Bushfires

I’m back. From a hot and humid place to a dry and super hot place. Sigh. My luck with weather is sucky.

It was 43 degrees (Celsius, not Fahrenheit ok) and there is a huge bushfire near our house. It has been burning for a couple of days already.

I had to take a longer route home from work today. Almost got lost. But Nad’s coaching skills in navigation for the past year has paid off. I got home with no trouble at all and I didn’t even get lost! So proud of myself. * Beams* The smaller roads near my place were also blocked. Sigh.

I saw birds circling the air in desperation yesterday above the burnt bushland. Must be homeless birds. I felt so sorry and sad for them.

The fires were quite near peoples’ houses. The people there must be worried sick.

Right behind our backyard is also a bushland of sorts. I pray hard that nothing will happen to it.

Helicopter spraying CO2, I think.

Lord, please let the fires cease. Please watch over our household. Thank you Lord.
