Ladies and Gentlemen, I present you…………………..

TADAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are soooo cute! We saw them quite a distance away and we honked at them. I came down the car and waved at them. AND THEY CAME TOWARDS US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are soooo friendly. We fed them with grass.

They didn’t stink though they had flies all around their eyes and body.

This is a simple Garter Stitch Cardigan that I’m knitting for a friend’s baby.

I’m done with the body part. I’m left with the sleeves (the small piece on the right there) and the seaming and edging.

Sorry about the horrible photo. Wasn’t in the mood to take pictures. :/

Materials used :

• Heirloom 8-ply cotton (One ball of each color)
• Inox Circular needles 5mm
• Aero needles 4mm

I made a huge mistake not to make a swatch for gauge. It turned out way smaller than intended.

I can’t wait to finish this. Getting bored of the garter stitches.

This is a bootie. Hahahhaa, for my god-sis’ baby girl. I got so sick and bored of knitting booties that I stopped after making one side. I will continue the other side… soon… I hope….

• Cleckheaton Country 8 ply, Pink
• Birch, Pearl needles 4mm

This is a simple basketweave blanket for Sunshine with a garter stitch border.

Goodness……… I got SO BORED with this that I think it’s going to sit in storage for a long time. I may pick this up when watching TV. The knit 8 purl 8 is pretty monotonous and idiot-proof.

• Patons 100% Pure Cotton 8 ply, Blue
• Birch, Circular needles 3.75mm

Again, I didn’t do a swatch. So this blanket is smaller than intended. Bleah.

It’s dying to be a blanket. I know it.

Tomorrow is the day I return to work.

I don’t know what to say, really.

On the one hand, I am going to miss my Sunshine tremendously. She has been with me more than 90% of her time. I’m more or less in tune with her needs.

On the other hand, I love my job. It’s not my career though. But it’s definitely something that would get me somewhere in the future.

I only work 6 hours a day, Mon-Fri. So it’s not that bad actually. Time will pass really fast. And I know Nad will take very good care of Sunshine. At least she’s not with someone else that we do not know.

I just pray that she’ll be a good girl for Nad (She can be a little monster at times. Like now, she is crying her head off just because she wants to be carried around and she’s cranky because she really wants to sleep).

I really am not sure about how I’m going to cope with work, the baby, the pets and the housework.

It’s like I’m going to be one of those supermoms that I’ve read so much about.

I have to do midnight feeds, get up early, make the bed, pack everything in place so that Nad would know exactly where to find stuff for Sunshine, boil water for the day, bathe, go to work, come back, do the laundry.

Before you think laundry is easy; pop the clothes in the washing machine/ give them to the maid/ etc, you are a very lucky person.

Because we do not have a washing machine, neither do we have a maid. What we have is, buckets and water.

Yes, I do our laundry by hand. And then I have to hang them up on the line. And if you remember this, then you will understand how big a deal it is for me.

I just thank God that I don’t have to do cooking. I hate cooking more than I hate doing the laundry. I love baking though, but I don’t think we can have cookies for every meal.

I just pray that after a few days at work, everything will settle into place. And hopefully, once we get used to the routine, we can find more time for the pets. They have been neglected since Sunshine’s birth. They do get the run of the backyard every day and we even cook yummilicious chicken, vegs and rice for them every evening now instead of plain old kibbles, but they haven’t been for walks lately. I try to cuddle them whenever I can but even that is becoming harder. They are great though. Very well behaved and never throw tantrums (unlike Sunshine who is STILL crying at this moment). They seem to love Sunshine too. Trying to smell/ lick her whenever I carry her near.

I have to count my blessings. And I will do just that.

I shall bring my knitting and do them during my 15 minute break at work. Hahahahaha. Otherwise, I don’t know when I can find time to knit!

Hehehe, I’ve been really busy these few days as my parents-in-law and brother-in-law are here for a visit.

So here’s a couple of pictures of little miss Sunshine.
