The One About Hailstones

Okay you guys… want to hear something coooooollll????

I was driving Nad home from work yesterday afternoon and was telling him about how I heard on the radio that there was a hailstorm somewhere that morning.

Just as we were pulling into our driveway, the rain became heavier and soon, we heard, “Clack CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK CLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” sounds!

I couldn’t see well out of the windscreen but I could make out that ice-cubes the size of a thumbnail were hitting against the car. I said, “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Nad tried to say something in response but the hailstones made too much noise.

“PARK THE CAR IN THE BUSH!”

“IN the bush???”

“YES!!! INTO THE BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

So I drove the car across our front lawn, carefully avoiding my precious rose bush, INTO another bush just outside our bedroom window. So that the soft branches of the bush could protect our windscreen.

It was funny. It looked as if I missed the driveway and drove into the bush. Hahahaha.

When I looked out of my bedroom window at night, I could see our dearest car staring back up at me, peeping from the bush. Hahahahahahaha. It was cute.

We really need to get the damaged car towed out of our carport so that our new cutie car can be parked in it especially on hailstormy days.

So.. it was my first experience with hailstones. It was exciting and it looked like it would have caused alot of pain should they hit you. Nad has seen bigger hailstones (hailrocks?) than this. So this was nothing to him. Hrmmphh. Show-off.

On an unrelated note, the baby in the tummy has been STRETCHING and causing my tummy to go out of shape, become knobbly and it’s been very uncomfortable. :(

I would rub the area where I could feel her foot/ hand and she would box/ kick me back. :(

She’s gonna be rebellious!
